Privacy Policy

Manx Roots Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website at trees.im.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use our website:

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number, and message content
  • Course enquiry submissions: name, email, phone, course preferences, experience level
  • MINT landowner permission forms: covered by their own privacy notice

If you book a course, we may also hold the details needed to register you as a delegate, which we collect from you directly by email or phone rather than through this website.

Cookies

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. This website stores a single item in your browser to remember your cookie choice. If we introduce analytics or advertising tools in future, they will only run if you have accepted them, and we will update this policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide requested services
  • To arrange and administer training course bookings, including certification
  • To improve our website and services
  • To comply with legal obligations

Who We Share It With

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share it only where needed to provide our services:

  • Our form provider (Formspree): delivers messages sent through our website forms to our team inbox.
  • Lantra: if you attend one of our courses, we pass your delegate details to Lantra so that your certificate can be issued. We do this directly with Lantra, not through this website.
  • Our website host (Vercel): hosts the website.

How Long We Keep It

Course and delegate records are kept in accordance with Lantra's data policy. Other enquiries are kept only for as long as we need them to respond and follow up.

Data Protection

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner.
