Beech Removal

Removing a mature Beech that was causing the embankment, on which a house had been built, to move. The tree was shallow rooted due to it’s location on the edge of a rocky gorge and was granted a license for removal on the grounds that if it shifted it could compromise the house. A neighbouring tree had become overweight and failed, bringing a road bridge with it, so we felt although it was great shame to loose this tree, it was in the interest of safety and justified.

The removal was carried out by rope and harness, and simple rigging techniques due to very a limited drop zone and access points.
